Vol. III · A Position
On the matter of
evening reservations.
Most patients work a full day. A practice that closes when their working day ends asks them to choose between care and income, between care and their children. It is a quiet way of pushing problems further down the road.
Oakdene holds reservations until eight in the evening, four nights of the week. The work is no different at half past seven than at half past nine. Phone after work; see us after work; be home by bedtime.

Three principles

Oakdene opened in 2026 with a small set of intentions: to do considered work, to charge fairly for it, and to be available when people actually need us. The list to the right is how those intentions guide the practice.

Modern materials, proven techniques, the time required to do work well. Every restoration is finished by hand. Every consultation is unhurried.

We offer the advice we would offer a member of our own family. Treatment is recommended only where it is needed. What is recommended is explained plainly.

On the patient's time.
Online reservations. Evening hours. Same-day attention in emergencies. A practice that respects the fact that a patient has a life beyond the chair.

Open by appointment,
to a quiet schedule.
We keep regular evening reservations Monday to Thursday, with late afternoons on Friday and a Saturday clinic. Sunday is held in reserve for genuine emergencies and continuing patients of long standing.
